To ensure full compliance with the Norwegian Government’s mandatory requirement for shipyard workers performing hot work (varmearbeider) to complete hot work training and certification, IMS in cooperation with Norway’s Institute of Technology (Teknologisk Institutt) have enabled our workers to take this course online. The course gives a full introduction to the risks of hot work and how to carry out hot work avoiding fires. Upon successfully completing a final exam, each worker receives a “varmearbeider” certificate issued by Norsk Brannvernforening. This certificate is valid for 5 years.
