IMS has developed an internal training academy where safety training is provided. Attendance to the academy is a mandatory requirement for employment in IMS.
The core focus on the training is to foster a strong safety awareness among all employees. Issues that are touched on are normal day to day activities, where the dangers are, and how to avoid them.

IMS "Safety Manual" includes advice and guidance to avoid dangerous and hazardous situations.
There is also information about what to do if an incident or accident occurs.

IMS has further developed a “Welcome Aboard” leaflet. This is an introduction to what is to be expected when working onboard a vessel.
The training and introduction is no rocket science. The whole purpose is just to do what we can to ensure that the safety of our employees, others around them, property and the environment is always a part of their daily routine.

Every employee going to work in Norway gets a leaflet "Working for IMS in Norway".
In this booklet employees can find the information one need to get well settled working in a new country and new surroundings.
